"Only the Devil Speaks Cree"

“Only The Devil Speaks Cree” is based on a true story. ​​​

It started more than a century ago.  Little Aboriginal children were taken away from their homes, their families, their traditions - their life! - and locked away in residential schools far from home.  ​​​

This was an attempt to assimilate them and Christianize them – in effect – to “Educate the Indian out of them”. ​​​

In reality, it was an education in abuse, intolerance and extreme loneliness.
“Only the Devil Speaks Cree” is compelling and disturbing – but balanced with
traditional Native humour and full of magical surprises!
